The Diploma Programme (DP) centers on three core elements and six subject groups. Students in the DP typically use PenPal Schools to conduct individual research for their extended essay, to provide a framework and global collaboration for their service project, or as a resource in their core subject classes. Students can even practice foreign languages with their peers around the world!
Within the six core subjects, teachers utilize PenPal Schools to develop international mindedness by connecting students with dozens of peers around the world. As students connect with peers around the world, they'll discuss relevant topics like immigration, healthcare, and politics. By engaging with students around the world, DP students get the opportunity to practice forming and evaluating arguments, analyzing and sharing information, and solving problems. |
Whether connecting with PenPals to conduct global research for their extended essays, participating in a service project with peers around the world, or engaging with PenPals through collaborative topics, PenPal Schools can help bring dozens of authentic global perspectives to your students.
