If you’ve been using PenPal Schools for a while then you’ve seen it grow and improve dramatically over the years. In the past few months alone we’ve introduced over 10 new projects and dozens of new features for both students and teachers! So that PenPal Schools can continue to grow and improve, we now require schools to pay for access. School-wide licenses cost $1900 per year, which includes unlimited access for every teacher and student. To ensure that PenPal Schools is affordable for everyone, we offer large discounts for small schools and schools serving low income communities. Still, we know that some teachers and school leaders may not have the funding available to purchase a license. Rather than ask teachers to pay out of their own pockets, we invite teachers to complete two projects for free. After that, teachers earn one additional free project every time they refer another teacher. Teachers who successfully refer 5 colleagues get free access forever! With projects for all ages and subjects - ranging from robotics to poetry to fake news - it’s easy for teachers to recommend PenPal Schools. We typically see usage spread quickly throughout our schools, making it easier for school leaders to justify purchasing a license. We designed our pricing model to enable teachers who love PenPal Schools to keep using it, and to help schools ensure that their limited funds are used on a resource that students and teachers actually use. If you have any questions or concerns about our new pricing policy, please feel free to email me directly. Thank you for supporting PenPal Schools. Joe Troyen
